I'm Brendon Phillips, and Five to Nine AI is just me.
One person, working remotely, with a direct line from your first message to the finished work.
The name
Nine to five somewhere else, five to nine here
I run Five to Nine AI alongside a day job. Evenings and weekends are when I answer messages and do the work, which happens to be when most small business owners finally get to their own admin.
It also means there's no account manager or junior staff between us. The person who reads your email is the person who builds the tool or runs the training.
If a job needs someone available during business hours, I'll tell you up front rather than overpromise.
What I'm good at
Software and marketing, and I don't mind paperwork
I'm comfortable in software most people avoid, and I like turning a messy pile of documents into something complete and checkable. I've worked in marketing and operations, so I know what a busy owner's week looks like.
I also build with AI tools myself: small web apps and automations, including this site. That's where the AI side of Five to Nine AI comes from.
I don't hold licenses or certifications in any of these fields, and I won't claim them. I prepare documents and set up tools; you stay in charge of what's submitted and signed.
How I work
A few rules I keep with every client
- Your accounts stay yoursI don't ask for passwords. Files live in a folder you own, and you can remove my access any time.
- Price before workA written quote before anything starts. No surprise invoices.
- Nothing goes out unseenYou review everything before it's sent or signed. I never sign for you.
- Straight answersIf something isn't a good fit for me, or for AI, I'll say so and point you somewhere better if I can.
